Summary:
Assists with maintaining accuracy and compliance of District financial activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Maintain compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes rules and regulations, Uniform System of Financial Records requirements, and District policies.
Processes and posts accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial activity.
Researches, documents, and takes corrective action on accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial activity.
Maintain and process State of Arizona and IRS required documents.
Reconcile statements, research variances, and resolve issues relating to financial activity.
Provide advice and training to District staff on accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial activity.
Develop processes and procedures according to the Arizona Revised Statutes rules and regulations, Uniform System of Financial Records requirements, and District policies.
Assists with maintaining accuracy of District financial records.
Cooperates with internal and external auditors, and provides information as requested.
Keeps current filing system on accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial activity.
Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or G.
E.
D.
required.
Experience:
Experience in data entry preferred.
School finance software; Visions preferred.
LICENSING:
Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Demonstrated competency in computer literacy and Excel.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Techniques and methods for organizing, prioritizing, and monitoring work.
Principles and applications of critical thinking and analysis.
Principles and methods of qualitative and quantitative research.
Best practices, trends and emerging technologies.
Applicable federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations.

Light Work:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
