Responsibilities:
Statement of Purpose:
The Vice President of Treasury and Financial Planning will support the Chief Financial Officer, and the development of Sun Health's nonprofit financial management strategy, participate in the development of the organization's strategic goals, and support the oversight of the financial strategy of Sun Health.
In addition, this role will be a partner with the board and executive leadership to advise the organization regarding financial decision-making and help develop a culture of financial awareness and accountability while ensuring the efficient utilization of resources and appropriate decision making for strategic growth and maximization of operating margin and return on investments.

Chief Financial Officer Compensation:
Salaried exempt from overtime pay.
This is a management position that is eligible for 30% targeted incentive pay.
Major Task, Duties and
Responsibilities:
Advise the CFO and other key members of executive and senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
Facilitate decision making by developing reliable, timely, and accurate analyses of budgets, forecasts, financial trends and other important topical analysis.
Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing the impact of variances.
Responsible for planning and directing Sun Health's treasury function, including cash operations, bank relationships, investment management, capital planning and structure oversight, and risk financing.
Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process.
Contribute to the development of Sun Health's strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
Advise the CFO, executive leadership and Sun Health Boards (including associated Board Committees) in the achievement of financial and operational performance objectives and expectations including revenue growth, operational margin targets, effective expense management and overall efficiency measures.
This includes the use of analytical processes to assure the achievement of initiatives and the implementation of performance improvement opportunities in the areas of operational performance, clinical excellence, patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
Assists the CFO in evaluation and assessment of growth and operational initiatives as well as the evaluation, development and implementation of strategic programs and service lines, capital acquisition (including campus planning and future expansion) and technological investment.
This includes the evaluation and assessment on future facility operations to ensure strong financial and operating outcomes (forecasting modeling).
Ensure that Sun Health is adhering to the strategic framework initiatives and deliver status reports to the CFO.
Support acquisitions and affiliations through development of financial models.
Provide analytical support to Sun Health's internal management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities.
Support VP of Accounting and Financial Reporting and the Finance team in all audit-related activities.
Monitor and track financial commitments to outside entities as appropriate.
Ensures fiscal operations occur and has responsibilities that include:
Monitoring and controlling cash flow Developing and maintaining a company's financial policies and procedures Monitoring debt and credit for the organization Developing and maintaining financial projections including cash flow projections Managing any outsourced financial activities Other duties as assigned or necessary to successfully support the finance functions of Sun Health.

Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance degree mandatory, a master's in business administration or CPA is preferred Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior management role ideally with both treasury and financial planning and analysis in a high-growth organization Experience either as an employee or board member of a nonprofit organization; must be familiar with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization Analytical skills with problem solving ability.
Can review output and recognize problems.
Five to seven years related experience, with multi-facility experience a plus.
Possess current or ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
