Patient Scheduler
Working as part of the scheduling team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the scheduling processes for all medical providers in MD24 House Call practice. We are an active and energetic work environment, located in Surprise, AZ, with high standards, and provide opportunities for learning and a cohesive team culture.
Position is full time M-F 7:30 am - 4:30 pm with overtime as needed. MD24 House Call offers full comprehensive benefits including: health, dental, vision, life, & disability insurance plans, as well as a 401k.
Essential Functions but not limited to:
Ability to perform effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities
Ability to create and reschedule appointments while working with clinician to ensure an effective schedule
Maintain patient information with current demographics in EHR system
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Answers telephone, screens calls, take messages, and provides information along with greeting patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines.
Display a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
Skills/
Experience:
Knowledge of business office procedures.
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.
Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
Ability to read, understands, and follows oral and written instructions.
Skill in greeting patients and clinicians over the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, patients' families and/or guardians, physicians, employees, and the public.
Working knowledge of computerized scheduling systems and general scheduling principles within a primary care clinic setting.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
Ability to work independently and complete administrative projects.
Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
